5G Network
Canada’s best 5G network is here1
The Bell 5G and 5G+ networks are true game changers for Canada.
Bell is proud to offer 5G+ in Toronto, Mississauga, Barrie, Ottawa, Guelph and more. With the next generation in wireless technology, our customers can expect even more immersive video and gaming experiences, remote telehealth, self-driving vehicles, and new applications that will change the way they work, live and play.
Bell 5G+ is available to approximately 40% of the Canadian population with full deployment happening over the next few years. To fully realize the generational opportunities of the Bell 5G and 5G+ networks, massive investment in new wireless spectrum, technology and infrastructure is required, and Bell is leading the way to deliver Canadians the best 5G network. Bell 5G will continue to offer unprecedented speeds on 5G devices for Canadians across the country.
What 5G and 5G+ will mean for Canada’s best network.4 Based on a third party score (Global Wireless Solutions OneScore™) calculated using wireless network testing in Canada against other wireless networks of combined data, voice, reliability and network coverage. See bell.ca/network for details.
Our 5G and 5G+ enable theoretical peak download speed of up to 1.7 Giga bits per sec, referrer * 5G available in select major areas of Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, the Greater Toronto Area, Montreal and more. in cities, towns and communities across Canada for an incredible mobile experience (average expected speeds between (average expected speeds between 89–705 Mbps) Mbps). Once future 5G technology is fully deployed, it will enable mobile experiences and applications that we can’t even imagine today.
Up to 100x faster speeds
Future 5G technology deployments will have theoretical peak download speeds that are up to 100x faster than 4G LTE. This means large files will be downloaded in seconds, videos will be streamed in the highest resolution, and you’ll benefit from an overall better experience.
5G will also provide faster Internet speed to users in remote areas that currently don’t have access to fibre technology.
Up to 1,000x greater capacity
Future 5G technology connected devices will be able to receive multiple streams of data, dramatically increasing their capacity to enjoy reliably fast speeds, even during peak times, regardless of how large an event or deployment.Up to 3x lower latency
Future 5G technology will allow devices to connect to one another with a lightning-fast response time. This opens up possibilities for new solutions or technologies that rely on real-time communication.Bell 5G news

Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR)
Enter immersive experiences with virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). 5G and 5G+’s lower latency and faster connections will make it possible to enjoy multiple views at live sporting and entertainment events, and view products in 360 degrees at enhanced shopping experiences.
Smart operations
5G will help to improve business operations by enabling more connected devices and applications for IoT deployments. With the growing need for connectivity and growth, businesses will be able to get real-time data, make better decisions, and streamline processes.
Connected and self-driving vehicles
5G and 5G+ will eventually usher in a new era of driverless cars by enabling near real-time communication between devices. This will help us improve safety, manage traffic, and increase the efficiency of future connected cars.
How can I get 5G and 5G+?
5G and 5G+ will take time to roll out across Canada. To experience 5G or 5G+, you’ll need a 5G or 5G+ compatible phone that connects to the Bell 5G and 5G+ networks, along with an Ultimate plan. If you’re in an area that does not have 5G or 5G+ coverage yet, your phone will automatically switch to the superb 4G network.
