Bell Exclusive Partner Program Refer-A-Colleague Program Rules

What is the Bell Exclusive Partner Program Refer-A-Colleague Program (“The Program”)?

The program gives a $50 bill credit, applied as a monthly credit of $5 for 10 months, to both the Bell customer making the referral and the person being referred.

The program is fully managed online. Members can refer friends and check the status of referrals using the online dashboard.

Note: Call centre agents and sales reps are not able to check the eligibility or status of a pending referral.

Who is eligible for the program?

Bell customers who registered for the Refer-A-Colleague program before June 17, 2024, are eligible and can continue to refer colleagues and benefit from the referral credits.

As the person making the referral: You must be an existing Bell Exclusive Partner Program customer on an eligible 2-year or BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) mobile phone plan, and your account must be in good standing for 30 days after the referral is complete and must remain open, active, and eligible.

As the person being referred: You must become a new Bell Exclusive Partner Program customer registered at bell.ca/epp and activating a new Bell mobile number on an Exclusive Partner Program in-market 2-year or BYOD mobile phone plan, and your account must be in good standing for 30 days after the referral is complete and must remain open, active, and eligible. The referral credit is not available for referring existing customers. All eligibility requirements for the Bell Exclusive Partner Program apply to the Refer-A-Colleague program. You must be a member of an organization that is eligible for the Exclusive Partner Program. See if your organization is eligible.

Prepaid, Tablet, Home Phone, Internet-only and TV-only plans and activations are not eligible to participate in the referral program.

Bell employees (including former employees receiving an employee rebate on their account or third‐party employees who sell Bell products and services) are not eligible for this program.

How much is the referral bill credit?

$50 for you and $50 for your colleague. Once both of you complete the referral and are confirmed as eligible, the bill credits will be applied in installments of $5 per month over 10 months, as long as the accounts remain open, active and eligible during that time.

The referral bill credit value may vary by province. Bell reserves the right to adjust the credit amount applied to your bill if the province you selected prior to sending a referral differs from the province of your billing address.

Does the Program have an end date?

Bell Exclusive Partner Program may end the Program or change any of the terms and conditions of the Program at any time, without notice and without obligation to award any referral credits.

How long will it take to confirm my referral?

Because both you and your colleague must remain active and in good standing for 30 days after the referral is complete, no eligibility checks or confirmations will take place for at least 30 days after the referral has been submitted.

Until then, all referrals will be noted as “Pending” in your dashboard.

I currently receive another offer on my account; will I be eligible for the Refer-A-Colleague offer?

Yes, so long as you meet the eligibility requirements for the Program.

Do referrals expire?

Yes. Referral emails and social media invitations are valid for 45 days.

Rules for customers who want to make referrals

Who can I refer?

You can refer an employee, member, or alumnus of the same organization that you are registered with or other organizations eligible for the Bell Exclusive Partner Program, assuming you know them and have had mutual direct communications. See if an organization is eligible.

You cannot refer a new line to your own account and receive a referral credit.

Can I refer someone who wants to bring their own phone to Bell?

Yes, the person you refer can either buy a phone from Bell or bring their own.

How do I Refer-A-Colleague?

To refer colleagues, you must register a Bell Exclusive Partner Program Refer-A-Colleague account at Bell.ca/referEPP using an active Bell mobile number (limit of one Bell Exclusive Partner Program Refer-A-Colleague account per Bell Exclusive Partner Program mobile number and email address).

After registration, you will receive an email with a unique link, which can be shared for redemption. If you misplace the email, this unique link can also be found anytime in your personal dashboard online after registering at Bell.ca/referEPP.

How many people can I refer?

You can refer multiple colleagues; however, you can have a maximum of 6 credits ($30/mo.) applied to your account in any given month. You can receive a total of $300 in a 10-month period. Your referral credits in any given month cannot exceed the monthly service fee for your mobile phone plan (minus any applicable credit or promotional discount, if any, and exclusive of taxes).

How can I check the status of my referral and credit?

Once a referral has been redeemed, you can track the status in your dashboard by re-visiting Bell.ca/referEPP on the same device and browser you registered with, or by clicking the dashboard link in your referral registration confirmation email.

Once your colleague’s eligibility has been confirmed, the referral will be noted as “Successful” in your dashboard. Once your eligibility is confirmed, we will send you an email to let you know.

If your referral did not meet eligibility requirements, it will be noted as “unsuccessful” in your dashboard.

Please note: Bell customer service and sales representatives are not able to check the status of your referral.

When will my offer be applied to my account?

Your colleague must accept the Program offer within 45 days of receiving the referral, become a new Bell Exclusive Partner Program customer on an in-market 2-year or BYOD mobile phone plan, and submit their new Bell phone number at bell.ca/referEPP within 7 days of activating their service.
After your colleague submits their new Bell phone number, the first installment of the referral credit will be applied to your bill within 2 to 3 billing cycles.

Where and how can I view my bill credit?

Once you’ve both been approved, we’ll send you an email to let you know you’ll receive your first bill credit. After receiving this email, your credit will be applied within 2 to 3 billing cycles. You’ll get a $50 bill credit for each referral ($5/mo. for 10 months). You can have a maximum of 6 referrals applied to your account in any given month.

You can log in to MyBell to view your bill credit. The credit will appear under the Other charges & credits section of your bill. You will see the credit on your monthly bill for up to 10 months per referral as long as you remain eligible.

Rules for colleagues who are referred to the Bell Exclusive Partner Program

How do I redeem the referral?

  1. Using the unique link shared by your colleague, redeem the offer (by entering your name and email address into the referral system) before you activate your service with Bell.
  2. Activate a new mobile line with a new phone on a 2-year plan or with your current phone on a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) mobile plan.
  3. Once your new mobile service is activated, go back to the initial email within 7 days to access the website to enter your Bell mobile phone number.
In 2 to 3 billing cycles, if all eligibility conditions are met, Bell will apply the first $5 bill credit to your account and to the account of the person who referred you. The subsequent $5 installments will be applied for the next 9 months, as long as the accounts remain open, active and eligible during that time.

What if I was assigned a temporary phone number when I activated with Bell?

If you are transferring an existing phone number from your previous provider, you cannot submit the temporary Bell phone number you may be given during the transfer process. If you submit the temporary Bell phone number, or submit your existing phone number before completing the transfer, the referral credits will not be authorized.

Before submitting your phone number, ensure you complete your phone number transfer, and submit your new (permanent) phone number into the referral system.
